Another Christmas hamper, thank again!
Incorp is doing things differently this year for Christmas to help homeless Australians.
We could have sent the corporate hamper. Or the same old, same old. Something for you to re-gift.
Instead, we decided to scrap the wrapping paper and fancy ribbon, the overpriced champers and hampers, to help two inspiring charities bring shelter, dignity and a sense of belonging to homeless Australians.
We have swapped corporate gifts to give moments of magic for people who need it most because we support teams who help people feel positive about themselves and their world.
This year we have supported Orange Sky and Backpack Beds for the Homeless to provide 100x clothes washes and 26x new bed packs.
Orange Sky Laundry is Australia’s first mobile laundry service for the homeless. A crazy idea of two washing machines, two dryers and one van washing and drying clothes for free turned into action. They provide over 1,300 hours of positive and genuine conversations every week.
The Backpack Bed Program is recognised for the shelter and dignity provided to street sleeping homeless. A lightweight backpack with storage that rolls out into an all weather protected bed. This program has grown beyond Australia, with Welfare Agency partners in New Zealand, United Kingdom, Germany and the US.
Thank you to all our clients for their ongoing support and feedback especially with this initiative. Here is some of the feedback:
“What a great initiative! Thank you!”
“You are to be congratulated on your approach. I will be using your example with many of my colleagues that are able to influence their companies to approach gift giving.
“I would like to thank you on behalf of our team, the two charities look great and I am glad we have contributed to the cause.
“Please pass on our thanks to your team for instigating this – what I great initiative.
We wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We will see you in 2017 – it’s going to be another big one.
